EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Family Crisis Council (FCC) is seeking a passionate, strategic, and community-centered leader to serve as our next Executive Director.
This individual will lead the agency’s mission through strong operational leadership, financial stewardship, staff development, community partnership building, and strategic growth. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure FCC continues providing impactful services and advocacy for those we serve.

● Can effectively manage budgets, grants, and agency operations
● Is a strong communicator and relationship builder
● Thinks strategically about agency growth and sustainability
● Is passionate about serving and advocating for individuals and families in crisis
● Can confidently represent FCC within the community
Position Responsibilities Include:
● Overseeing day-to-day agency and shelter operations
● Supervising staff, volunteers, and administrative personnel
● Managing agency finances, grants, and reporting requirements
● Supporting fundraising and community partnership efforts
● Leading strategic planning and organizational growth
● Maintaining strong collaboration with the Board of Directors

1. Describe a time you had to manage a limited budget, oversee funding sources or grants, managed or championed capital fundraising or make difficult financial decisions for an organization or team. How did you approach the situation, and what was the outcome?
2. If selected as Executive Director, what would be your approach to strengthening and expanding the agency’s impact within the community while maintaining alignment with the organization’s mission and values?
3. Describe your leadership style and how you build trust, accountability, and collaboration within a team- especially during seasons of transition, stress, or change. Please provide a specific
example.
Preferred Qualifications:
●Bachelor’s degree required
●Leadership experience in nonprofit, social services, domestic violence advocacy, or related fields preferred
●Strong communication, organizational, and financial management skills
●Local to or familiar with the Rowan County community is preferred.
